My musical journey began in South Carolina. Thanks to a family steeped in music, I was fortunate to grow up in an environment where creativity and melody were always present.  Those early experiences and the encouragement of my loved ones and friends, ignited a deep connection to music that continues to drive me today. My musical influences are very diverse!  Following college, I ventured to the Midwest, a move that introduced new perspectives and sounds, enriching the musical foundation built in my youth. Charlie Calvert Music is where I share that journey, inspired by the rich influences of both my Southern upbringing and my life here in the Midwest.  I love telling the “stories” behind my songs!  I try to focus on the lyrics in my songs.  I try write lyrics that the listener can relate to in a deep and meaninful way.  The music i create is designed to carry the lyrics and the messages so that you can feel the spirit of song itself.  My hope is that you will feel peace, hope and encouragement after listening.
