"Come to the Door" is a love song about a very special time and place. It is a song, in story form, about our first honeymoon trip to Door County Wisconsin 2004. We are drawn back every year for 22 years and counting. There's so much to explore!
In Sister Bay, you'll even find a Piggly Wiggly!! It's a fabulous grocery store with everything you need for your visit in Door County!!
The Juniper Inn was built in 1996. Mark Sneen designed and built it. He also lived there and was a Fabulous Inn Keeper and conversationalist. He sold it to Chris and Karen Elwing in 2017, who did a beautiful job remodeling it by adding a hearty breakfast menu. Karen and Chris were gracious and entertaining hosts as well! We stayed there 8 days at a time from 2004 to 2022. We loved it so much!
This sign was for the Juniper Inn, where my bride and I stayed in Door County for the first time , on our honeymoon trip October, 2004 My Door County love song was born out of that experience. It was on Maple Grove Road, near the airport between Fish Creek and Ephraim. The Elwings were so kind and gave me that sign! It is now in a prominent place in our home!
One of our favorite places. Food is delicious and priced for families to enjoy! Hospitality is tops!
